INASP supports research and knowledge in the Global South. They needed someone who understands both the technical and strategic sides of a website rebuild: procurement, platform decisions, and the longer-term vision beyond the project itself.
I'm advising them on the revamp of their main site and the Rising Scholars network, a community of over 14,000 researchers in 175 countries.
The DCC is a university-led effort building infrastructure for privacy-enhanced, portable, verifiable digital credentials in higher education. I'm helping them communicate what Wallet Attached Storage is and why it matters: a piece of the technical puzzle around how learners store and control their own credentials, rather than having them sit on someone else's server.
In addition to my individual consulting work, I've set up FIELD STATION with Tom Watson. This not only serves as a home for our TechFreedom work, but allows us to collaborate on wider investigations around the future of work, the reach of technology, and the shape of society. We study digital sovereignty and build civic tech, in the open.
